Perth Markets Ball 2025: Celebrating Excellence in WA’s Fresh Produce Industry
The 2025 Perth Markets Ball shone brightly on Friday October 10th, 2025 at Crown Ballroom, bringing together more than 500 guests from across Western Australia’s vibrant fresh produce sector. Growers, wholesalers, retailers, and industry partners gathered for a spectacular evening of celebration, entertainment, and recognition of excellence in fresh produce retailing.
A Celebration of “Australiana – The Lucky Country”
This year’s theme, Australiana – The Lucky Country, transformed the ballroom into a lively showcase of national pride and produce passion. Guests were greeted by native animals before being treated to an entertainment lineup that captured the Aussie spirit — including performances by the Australian Girls Choir, Bad Piper with his rock-inspired bagpipes, a whip cracker, the 100% Kylie tribute act, and Chris Murphy and the Side Hustle.
The atmosphere was electric, reflecting the strength and energy of Western Australia’s produce community — a network that continues to thrive through collaboration, innovation, and shared dedication to quality.
Recognising Retail Excellence
A major highlight of the evening was the presentation of the WA Fresh Produce Retailer of the Year Awards, recognising outstanding achievements across the state’s retail sector. The awards attracted 261 entries in 2025, open to any store selling fresh produce, with judging conducted by an independent mystery shopper service engaged by Market West. All entrants receive detailed feedback, ensuring continual improvement across the industry.
Seven awards were presented, spanning metropolitan and regional categories for both independent and national supermarket retailers.
